A Letter To My Sis

Dear Sissy,

Just two days! After that you are going to get married. I wonder how fast the time has moved… from two little toddlers we have now become two grown up girls. We never called ourselves cousins, we are sisters. Not just sisters, our family treated us as twins. Our names are always spelt together.

We grew up like twins only. We used to wear same type of dress until I grew a little plump. Still, we wear same colored dresses for functions. People think we planned it before to wear matching colored costumes. Many times even we were puzzled!

Still you introduced me to your friends as your best friend. Yeah! Actually almighty created us to be close friends. Holding each others hands, we learned how to walk! You were always concerned about me. In fact other brothers and sisters are little jealous about that extra care you had on me.

We never hugged each other! Whenever you tried to be close with me, I moved away thinking we never had a good chemistry. Now I realize there is a strong bonding between us. Even when I reject it, God is offering more and more similarities for us. Many of these may not be noticed or recognized! Sometimes, I’m scared of this likeness in anything and everything…

After twenty years, our family is going to celebrate a marriage function. We enjoyed all festivals and vacations for past twenty four years together. Here after it won’t be so… You will be in your own world with too many responsibilities. That’s life, it won’t remain idle. It should move on!

Wishing you and your hubby a very happy married life! Wherever you are, may God bless you to carry out your duties now as a good wife, later a sweet mother and in future a cute grand ma!

With lots of love,

Roopz

Waiting For A Fall And Rise

Each and every leaf in me

Danced once…

Each and every flower in me

Bloomed once…

Spring, Autumn, Winter

Cycle goes on and on!

Now it is harsh summer,

Everything has dried up!

I can’t wait for winter,

I can’t freeze myself!

I can’t wait for the spring,

I’m too old to dream.

Though I love rain

As I can hide my tears,

I won’t stay till next shower

As I’ll be uprooted soon!

Summer loves me,

Squeezed my energy,

Let me fall and die

And get ready for next birth!

My New Virtual Addiction

A few days back, one of my friends asked me why I still stick on the outdated blogging! Even I had a thought that blogging has become boring until I joined a few online blog directories. Life really changed and I started enjoying this activity again. Initially, the only person who commented in my blog was Meenakshi. Now I get many numbers of comments from so many unknown friends. Some sites offer voting system where you can put your blog posts for voting. By doing so, you can understand how well or worse your articles are!

Another hobby that I’d developed recently is blog reading. When you read books, you can’t express your feedback to the writers unless you take so much of strain to find out their contact address and mail them. In case of blogging, they are eagerly waiting for your remarks. It is like if you comment on a blog post, the whole world can view it. There are also chances that people may come to your blog if you leave a backlink to your site along with a remark for a blog post.

Orkut, buzz, Facebook… I’m addicted to something or other in the virtual world. Now the latest one is blog marketing. Thanks to bloggers’ sites for pulling me out Facebook! One of my colleagues, Jabir taught me a few promotion tips too. Village girl is into blog marketing now… Though advertising and I never complement each other, let me try out…
